Join us for the Loddon Observatory Showcase 2019

We are hosting the Loddon Observatory Showcase 2019 on 27 September from 12:30 to 16:00, in Meadow Suite, University of Reading.

This is an opportunity to meet people, learn and share information about ongoing projects in the Loddon catchment around the integrated themes of Water, Environment, Food, Climate, Governance and Heritage with Reading University staff and students and External Partners. Anyone and everyone with an interest is welcome to join as a presenter or participant.

The event will include:

Poster session, sci-comm activities and lunch – 12:30 to 13:30

  • Sci-comm activities include: Draw me a river, badge my research and LEGO landscapes!

Lightening talks 13:30 to 13:45

13:45 to 15:00 – Short presentations

15:00 to 15:15 – Plenary talk

Saving the planet one burp at a time; ruminant meat, milk, and greenhouse gas mitigation – Prof. Chris Reynolds

15:15 – Panel discussion: ‘Do we need to change what we eat or how food is produced to save the planet?’
